4 Essential Pieces for a Curvy Girl Visiting Italy

I’ve been packed and ready to go for a hot while now.  That’s right! For weeks I’ve know exactly what I would pack and wear for my two weeks in Italy and here it is!

So there’s good news and there’s bad news

More good then bad. Which would you like to hear first? The bad news? Okay.

Bad news is that I’ve been running around like a mad women trying to get heaps of work done way in advance.  Lately, I’ve been feeling like I’m inside a pressure cooker – and the top is ready to go off!

Why have I been running around like a physco beesh you might ask?

Well that leads to the Good News.

I’m heading on my summer holidays!! EEEeeeEEEeee!!

I guess I always get wound up and stressed out right before I go away. Hey, I work from home – I need frick’n order in my life. I need to be organized and I need to return to a clean home. Close friends know this about me, this is how I roll.

This summer’s amp up to my vacation has been a bit heavy on the crazy side between settling into a new country, working for clients, studying french and preparing for the launch of this blog. But it’s been totally worth it because by the time this blog goes live I will be on my way to … ITALY 😀

Yeah man! I’m headed out on a two week road trip around Italy! Woohoo!

We’ll be driving in from the North West and heading down the West coast. We don’t like to plan our adventures too much but stops will hopefully include Cinque Terre, Amalfi Coast, Pompeii, Naples, Roma – Looping back up hitting Tuscany, Florence and Verona.

The Travel Curve - What To Wear on an Roadtrip in Italy

I’m hoping we will find some magic in-between and hoping we can fit it all in to two weeks!

The other Good News is – I’ve been packed and ready to go for a hot while now.

Ya! For weeks I’ve know exactly what I would pack and wear for my two weeks in Italy and here it is!

A Curvy Girls Guide To what to wear For Two Weeks in Italy

Are you confused about what you’re looking at? Heh! Don’t be.

As some of you know I am a full-figured model for the BEST travel brand on the market, Diane Kroe. Every time I travel Diane and I set little challenges for me.

Last summer I did a road trip across North America. It took 27,000 km and 2 months. I packed stuff for camping (because when it comes to my boyfriend there’s always a hike element) and I packed 8 pieces from Diane Kroe. I rolled ’em up tiny like I did above and stuck them in a make-up bag. It was the perfect wrinkle free go-to  wardrobe for all the beach days, wharf roams and city adventures.

This time I’m taking only 4 pieces (and some accessories of course!) for the duration of my 2 weeks.

Now let’s look at what we’ve really got here

Four Pieces can make more then 10 differents

1 *new* pair of black fisherman palazzo pants

1 *new* red sash belt

1 Red wrap top

1 Ivory Endless

1 bangle bracelet

All from

To me black, ivory and red encapsulate a perfect classic colour pallet for discovering Italy. You can’t go wrong with shades and a bold pop of timeless red!

As for accessories, when I travel, I always keep a vintage pair of shades, a clip for my  hair, my trusty Canon Power Shot to shoot every inspiring detail. Including the clothes and maybe even a pair of sandals, it all fits nicely into my go-to black tote with room to spare.

I am officially Italy ready! With these pieces, I’ve already come up with 8 or 9 different outfits.

Don’t believe me?! Just wait until you see Part 2 of this Italian Capsule Wardrobe Adventure!

With that, I am signing off for a little bit of R+R. I will talk to you soon when I get back in August. Feel free to get in touch while I’m away and check out my new Instagram account for for up to date photos of my trip!

Ha this is the first time I actually feel like I have enough context to say this…

Ciao Bella! 😉

Oh and While I’m Gone…Ponder This:

Let’s say you were going to Italy. What would your ideal colour combination be?
